My name is Muhammad Taha, and I come from Karachi, Pakistan. I've always believed in the power of education to change lives — not just as a tool for personal success, but as a platform for lifting others. But like many young people from underrepresented regions, I faced barriers that made this belief hard to turn into reality.
The turning point came while I was working at Khadija Kazi Memorial School in Pakistan. The principal, Ma'am Nasira Abid, told me about the Shams Family Foundation and how they help students from countries like Pakistan pursue education abroad. She connected me with Habiba Rajpari, whose guidance and belief in me changed everything — at a time when I couldn't afford the first step, she supported me financially and emotionally. Habiba then connected me with Sir Kamruddin (Kam) Shams, the founder of the Foundation. The interview I was nervous about turned out to be warm and encouraging.
What made SFF's support unique was their "Earn and Learn" model — enabling students not just to study abroad, but to earn alongside their education so they could become financially independent. With their help, I arrived in North Macedonia and began my studies in Computer Science at SEEU.
While studying, I noticed gaps in the local labor market, especially in recruitment, and founded WorkGlobally — a recruitment agency connecting skilled and unskilled workers from Asia and Africa with job opportunities in Macedonia and across Europe. On June 6, 2025, I officially graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Today, I am not just a graduate — I am an entrepreneur, a mentor to others, and a believer in paying it forward. To the team at the Shams Family Foundation: your work goes far beyond paperwork and processes. You help people believe in themselves again.
