Six Pathways Into Germany

Degree Learn & Earn

Bachelor’s and master’s programs that pair full academic degrees with language requirements and hands-on employment — building credentials and career simultaneously.

Vocational Learn & Earn

Over 300 hands-on vocational diploma programs offering practical skill-building across a wide range of trades and industries, with training lasting 1.5–3.5 years.

Direct Job Pathways

Designed for experienced professionals looking to leverage Germany’s new immigration laws — recognizing existing qualifications and fast-tracking entry into the German workforce.

Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (FSJ)

Germany’s Voluntary Social Year — 6 to 18 months placed with a provider like Caritas or the German Red Cross, across social, cultural, sports, or heritage organizations. Includes a monthly allowance and full insurance.

Au Pair

Living with a host family for 6 to 12 months, helping with childcare and light housework in exchange for language immersion and full board — a lighter first step into Germany ahead of Ausbildung.

Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD)

Germany’s Federal Volunteer Service — 6 to 18 months across social, environmental, cultural, or civil-protection placements, with a monthly stipend, full insurance, and free training seminars.
