WWCoF Announces Three More Pathways Into Germany

September 1, 2026

WWCoF has expanded its Germany Learn & Earn program from three pathways to six, adding the Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr (FSJ), Au Pair, and Bundesfreiwilligendienst (BFD) routes alongside the existing Ausbildung, Duales Studium, and Skilled Employment pathways.

FSJ (Germany's Voluntary Social Year) and BFD (the Federal Volunteer Service) each run 6 to 18 months with a monthly allowance and full insurance, placing candidates with providers like Caritas, the German Red Cross, or civil-protection organisations. Au Pair placements run 6 to 12 months, offering a lighter first step into Germany through language immersion and family life ahead of a full Ausbildung.

For candidates and mentors weighing which route fits their own timeline, WWCoF has published detailed candidate guides for each pathway on its website.
