German regional press covered the earliest stage of what would become the WWCoF Germany program in October 2024, reporting on the Shams Family Foundation's work with local trade organizations in Cloppenburg to place young Pakistanis into apprenticeships with local employers.
“The ‘Shams Foundation’ aims to place young Pakistanis and is cooperating with the local trade guild,” wrote journalist Friedrich Niemeyer in coverage published October 18, 2024, describing the foundation's approach to addressing Germany's shortage of skilled tradespeople.
That early cooperation with local parties in Cloppenburg became one of the founding relationships behind what is now WWCoF's structured Ausbildung and Duales Studium pathway into Germany.
