My Journey & Gratitude: Shukhrat Azizmamadov

It was always my dream to pursue an MBA from a respected U.S. university. In 2019, that dream began to take shape when I was selected to receive WEF financial assistance for the MBA program at Herzing University. This life-changing opportunity was made possible by the generosity of the Shams Family Foundation (SFF), WEF, and the many dedicated volunteers who welcomed us with open arms during orientation.

I arrived in the United States full of hope, eager to learn, and determined to build a better future — not only for myself but also for my family. The support system provided by WEF and SFF made it possible to focus on my education and personal development, despite the many challenges that come with moving to a new country.

One of my proudest moments was standing at the Herzing University orientation — the culmination of hard work, late nights, and endless dedication. My wife also pursued and completed the same MBA program at Herzing University, inspired by our shared vision and mutual support. Watching her graduate, standing beside her with our son in my arms, I felt the full circle of our journey: education not just empowering individuals but uplifting entire families.

Today, I continue to grow professionally at one of Atlanta's oil companies as a Senior Relationship Manager, and none of this would have been possible without the WEF and SFF programs. What started as an educational opportunity for one person became a foundation for a family's success.
