Cooperation Agreement Between SFF, WWCoF, and the Municipality of Bösel

The municipality of Bösel sent a formal letter expressing support for cooperation with the Shams Family Foundation and the World Wide Council of Foundations, following a presentation at the “Wirtschafts-S(ch)nack” business breakfast in April 2025.

“The presentation by the Shams Family Foundation and other US foundations, which have made it their mission to recruit skilled workers from abroad, convinced the business community,” wrote Bösel’s mayor, Hermann Block. “We were particularly impressed by the foundations’ sustainable and holistic approach.”

The letter describes how the foundations work with German employers: companies define requirement profiles for open roles, candidates are carefully matched against them, and SFF and WWCoF handle language and vocational preparation, visa support, and on-the-ground guidance once candidates arrive — with all associated costs covered by the foundations.

“The municipality of Bösel expressly welcomes this initiative,” the letter continues, “and encourages other local authorities, public institutions, and companies to join this approach.”
