In 2021, the first cohort of students under the SFF-SEEU partnership began their studies at South East European University (SEEU) in North Macedonia: 26 students from Tajikistan and Pakistan.
The cohort followed SFF's 2020 launch of its Macedonia program, which had offered 30 financial assistance opportunities in Computer Science at SEEU. Most of the 2021 cohort enrolled in Bachelor's degree programs, forming the founding class of what would grow into one of SFF's largest education partnerships.
