How Giving Works

A Fund, Not a Cash Pass-Through

The Shams Family Foundation is a registered component fund of The Dallas Foundation — the oldest community foundation in Texas. Because of that structure, SFF does not hand cash directly to individuals. Every dollar funds a pre-designed, vetted program delivered through a registered 501(c)(3) or a vetted partner NGO — which is exactly why the WWCoF and FBAS network exists: to carry a donation the rest of the way, from a training centre in Pakistan to a placement in Germany.

Contributions are tax-deductible, made through a registered 501(c)(3) community foundation
Funds go to designed, vetted programs — never as unrestricted cash to an individual
Our track record: WEF/SFF supported 30 students for an MBA program at Herzing University, Atlanta USA (2016–2020), 112 students at South East European University (SEEU), North Macedonia (2021–2026), 9 students at North American University, Houston USA (2025–2026), and 430+ students now in German-language training
Every student is tracked from identification through placement, not just at the point of donation

Language & Vocational Training

Supports the German-language pipeline running across CVTTI (Gilgit/Islamabad), GBOTC (Hunza), and Global Language Institute (Karachi) — from A1 through B2.

Training Infrastructure

Builds capacity at the training centres themselves — classroom resources, online delivery, and the mentor programs that make each cohort self-sustaining.
